Zoe-perry

Perry is she is Chicago native, birthed to Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. On the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as as seen through flashback) Her mother portrayed Jackie Harris in two of Perry's early TV appearances. Her parents, however, did not let her perform until she was an adult because of the effects stress would be able to have on their daughter. Perry was shy during high school and did not act. She began acting in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends as she moved from Boston University. Following her graduation, Perry went into New York to search for TV work, landing a few roles on series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent However, she was stricken by homelessness and brought Perry back home to California and she was able to find theater jobs. She and her mother starred on Broadway as a couple in The Other Place, in 2013. The show was directed by Eugene O'Neill. Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie and Kevin McKidd. This was presented in the West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry was featured nine times on The Family, an ABC drama The Family, in 2016. In 2017, she played an recurring role in the ABC political thriller Scandal starring her father. She played the role of an older Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off show from CBS's The Big Bang Theory was an additional portrayal that was younger of her mother. Despite the fact that she has a connection with her family to the character she got the part through an audition.
